Every day, this site reveals a new mini-story. Hidden inside each story are twelve special words. Together, those twelve words form a valid Bitcoin seed phrase.
A Bitcoin seed phrase (or mnemonic) is a sequence of 12 words drawn from a fixed list of 2,048 English words, defined by the BIP39 standard. Anyone with these 12 words can access the Bitcoin wallet they generate. Normally, seed phrases are random and hard to remember.
Each story on this site is crafted so that 12 of its words, read in order, form a valid BIP39 mnemonic. The highlighted words are the seed phrase. The surrounding words are filler that give the phrase its narrative shape.
The 12th word is determined by a checksum built into BIP39. For any 11 words, exactly 128 of the 2,048 possible words are valid as the 12th. The stories are constructed to end with one of these valid completions.
Stories follow the seasons and holidays: winter tales in January, spring stories in March, Halloween in October, and so on. Evergreen themes like cooking, ocean, space, and mystery fill in between to keep things varied.
These mnemonics are public. Every story is visible to everyone. Do not send Bitcoin to any wallet generated from these seed phrases. Any funds sent to a public mnemonic can be taken by anyone.
This site is a creative exercise in constrained writing, not a wallet generator.
